Indonesian Competition Ballroom Dancing and DanceSport

The Jakarta Open DanceSport Championships is the premier dancesport event in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event is organized by P.T. Jakarta DanceSport, Indonesia. Guest Artistes are: Jukka Haapalainen and Sirpa Suutari, Paul Killick and Hanna Karttunen, Massimo Giorgiani and Alessia Manfredini, Alan Shingler and Donna Shingler. Special Appearance by Ross Mitchell, His Band and Singers. Supporting band X'perience of Jakarta provided the music for the general dancing. The venue is the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Mulia. This inaugural event will be graced by Mr Karl Breuer, President of the World Dance and DanceSport Council, and Chief Adjudicator for the event. Other invited adjudicators are David Roberts, Romy Jakob, Glen Tierney, Katia Vanone, Alan Fletcher, Hazel Fletcher, Hirotada Torii, Hubert de Maesschalck. The event was very successful indeed. More than five hundred people turned up for the day programme and more than a thousand for the evening. The sound and lighting system were super, better than any other seen in neighbouring countries. Altogether more than 20 countries took part in the competition events.
